Obama V. McCain

 Obama V. McCain

I dislike both of the presumptive candidates from the two major lame parties. Thus far, I am electing not to vote for either of them.  Many of those who wander into post modern justifications to explain their decisions to vote for one or the other are livid and whining about those of us who believe that exorcising our freedom not to vote is a vote for one or the other of the candidates. The justification that “If you don’t vote for me you’re voting for that fellah over there who is way worse then me,” is lame and a mark of childish desperation.

The idea that a half burnt candidate is better then a fully burnt candidate holds no water.

Additionally, the idea that voting for somebody other then one of the main two candidates is throwing your vote away is to discount the values of  our vote. We don’t live in a dictatorship, yet, where we’re sent to gulags if you don’t vote correctly.

People who say that if we don’t vote for one or the other of the lame candidates we’re destroying democracy and freedom are wrong.

For many conservatives John McCain has behaved badly for many, many years. For many liberals Obama has treated Hillary and women very badly during the primary.

Conservatives survived eight years of Bill Clinton and Liberals survived seven and a half years of George Bush. The sun still comes up in the morning. Vote your conscience. It’s what the founding fathers did.

John
