It’s pretty easy to be disgruntled with the state of the nation right now. Gas is over $4.00 a gallon; The national debt is astronomical and both Republicans and Democrats pine away for the opportunity to increase spending and or taxes; Islamofacists haven’t surrendered even though they have greatly reduced effectiveness. Our troops are still in combat.

Yet, truthfully the average American is wealthy; particularly when compared with 85% of the rest of the world.

We might be unhappy with the level of our wealth, unhappy that we don’t live in the top 1 percent of global luxury, yet we as a rule truly are wealthy. Additionally, we are incredibly dissatisfied with our wealth. We want more.

Unfortunately, politics and politicians can not give us that more.

Only a true relationship with God can.

Are People who support Obama because he’s black Racist?

If people support Obama merely because he’s black then they technically are racist. Discrimination or prejudice based on race is a fair definition of racism. People who support Obama only because he’s black can be fairly called racist.

I’ve been watching pundits and politicians vilify the Oil Companies, Opec, Enviromental groups, Automobile manufacturers and nearly everybody for the oil crisis. The answer to the question of who is responsible for high oil prices is really much closer to home.

Every time I look in the mirror I know that I’m responsible for the price of oil. Truthfully, every time you look in the mirror you should do the same. The cost of oil depend on how much you’re willing to pay for it. As long as we are willing to use oil and modern energy, capitalism will dictate how much we pay.

If I drive a car, heat my home, cool my business, purchase food at a grocery store that uses trucks, boats or trains to transport food, I pay for the cost of using that modern service.

There is a tremendous cost for modern living. Oil exploration, chemical plants, refineries, toxic waste dumps and pollution all come with modern living. If we don’t want to deal with these byproducts of modern living we shouldn’t use modern energy.

I don’t care what the consumer price of marijuana, cocaine, meth or heroin is running. I don’t use them. The cost of heroin is proportional to how much heroin users are willing to pay.

As long as we are willing to use modern energy and for the time being, oil, there will be a cost to pay. The point at which we are unwilling to use oil is when the price will drop to $0.00 PER GALLON.

World Wide Demand for Oil has increased 12 million barrels of crude per day in the past 10 years. World wide production Oil has not increased by nearly that much. Demand for crude over the next 20 years is expected to double the current demand.

Our popular culture’s fascination with junkies, crazy people and the violent.

Our popular culture loves a good train wreck. Take a person with good looks, acting or singing talent, weak character, a disregard for so called traditional morality, a violent streak and a predilection toward intoxication and you have a hot formula for fame.

We love money and the more there is of it the more we worship it.

So take money, fame, talent and violent intoxication and what do you get?

Where does a Christian Conservative go when there isn’t anybody to vote for?

Now that we’ve established that both Obama and McCain are unacceptable for Christian Conservatives to vote for in the fall election, where can a voter like me turn?

A Troll form the Daily Kos accused me of being partisan recently and tried to shut me up because their indefensible positions wouldn’t hold up under scrutiny. When illogic wouldn’t work in changing my mind they resorted to the tactics that the brain dead often use: threats and vilification.

So when you’ve lost the big game, and Christian Conservatives have lost the big game this election cycle, how do we prepare for the next season?

1. Admit we got our butts kicked. Denial never works for very long anyway.
2. Don’t vote for unacceptable candidates.
3. Tell the candidates why they’re incompatible with the ideals you hold.
4. Get your team ready for the next season.
5. Look for and draft potential impact players for your team.
6. Don’t listen to party people who try to talk you into a fling with the devil.
7. When your party’s candidate looses, ignore the weak minded who blame you for their demise.
8. Shake the hand of the winner, say good job, and do everything legal, ethical and morally permissible to destroy their administration. They would do the same to you.
9. Look for new offensive and defensive plays to make yourself a better player and contender.
10. Never, ever give up.

The reasons I dislike John McCain

He has openly campaigned against evangelical Christians in the past calling us “ Agents of Intolerance.”

His immigration policies are poorly conceived and unacceptably proposed.

He’s got too short a fuse.

There’s dirty money floating around his past.

He’s weak on domestic economic policy.

Who he might nominate to the supreme court frightens me.

He’s really not a conservative.

His position on international trade.

Who he might pick as vice presidential running mate.

Is it possible to disagree with Obama, not vote for him and not be racist? When people disagree with him his camp rolls out the “It’s because he’s black” explanation.

Here are the nonracist reasons I dislike Obama: He’s not very smart. He’s well educated, granted, but lacks intellectual imagination.

He’s frighteningly naive.

He has no new ideas.

He appears to be all talk.

His mentor role model for being a black man gets kicked to the curb when the mentor’s hate filled message of the past twenty years comes to light.

He seems to have no loyalty to his friends, mentors, church or anybody.

He and his campaign make incredibly stupid mistakes which if any other candidate made them would sink their candidacy.

He’s seems to be in denial about himself and those around him.

I suspect that terrorist attacks will commence in the United States once he’s elected and all he will do is blame others for them.

He doesn’t seem to take responsibility for anything.

He doesn’t seem to believe in evil, except the perceived evil of white racism, and doesn’t know how to confront it effectively.

Martin Luther King had a dream that his children would be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin. Senator Obama has beautiful skin, but his character is what worries me.

How to Confront a Rat

Thank you, Town hall, for putting a stop to the Rat’s: Real Americans 4 Truth, abusive spam.  What the Rat did was to spam the local Chicago blog board for space. Every time somebody else posted a blog on the local opinion blog page the Rat reposted his opinion, over and over so nobody else saw the light of day.

By doing this, the Rat became the # 6 most popular local blog on all of Town hall. I countered him by doing what he did, and amazingly I became # 2 in Chicago. Thus the loop hole I mentioned earlier.

Well, Rat, since Town Hall has clipped both of our wings, I’ll go back to playing by the gentleman’s sporting rules and you’ll have to begin to play by those rules. Although I doubt rules mean anything to you.

The press has coroneted Obama, but Hillary’s silence is thundering. Obama is taking victory laps around the track celebrating what may be his technical win, but he has no idea what Hillary is really going to do.

When I look at Obama I see a sub prime mortgage waiting to explode. If we’re going to give the election to a man rather then make him earn it, give it to a qualified man. Someone who can maintain the mortgage when things get tough.

If it turns out that Obama is the nominee for the Democrat Party, I don’t feel he will have earned it, and won’t vote for him.

John McCain is the undisputed winner of the Republican Primary. I won’t vote for him either.

Can you imagine what would happen if John McCain put Hillary on as V.P in September? Obama’s lost boys and girls have been assaulting Hillary for months. Why stay where you’re not wanted and they cheat to defeat you?

The Press is calling her effort null and void, but the old Gal hasn’t signaled submission yet. Unfortunately, the Grand Obama Pan’s victory looks more like a limping technical win and not an overwhelming victory. So, while he steps forward in his green tights with his wooden sword raised in victory, while the crowd of lost boys and girls chant “ He is the Pan, He is the Pan;” Hillary is silent, for now.

What Would President Obama Do? #2

Suppose a very serious civil war breaks out in Mexico. Ten million refugees flood into the United States in 90 days and another ten million are on the way.

The besieged government of Mexico is furious that millions of Mexican citizens living in the United States without legal status are funneling billions of dollars and millions of weapons into the battlefield in Mexico-And they are in fact doing that.

Armed militias from the millions of refugees have seized four small boarder towns in the United States and declared them part of a new independent Hispanic nation.

Tens of thousand of armed Mexican nationals are rushing from all over the United States to reinforce the militias and assist in the declaration of a new nation.

The Mexican Army attacks the refugee militias inside of sovereign U.S. territory.

One Million undocumented Aliens Riot in Los Angeles in support of the militias and declaration of a new Hispanic nation.

What would Obama do?

What would he do about the Mexican Civil War; The Militias that occupy U.S. territory; The Mexican Army’s attack on the Militias inside of U.S. territory; And the Millions of rioters in L.A.?
